…I went out around the city in search of a different storage solution for my Lush stuff. My boyfriend was the one who spotted this three tier cupcake stand, and for only $20, I couldn’t not snatch it up!

My Lush stash is so small right now, but come next pay check, I’ll have the extra money to replenish it a bit :) I also bought a shower tension caddy for storing my body washes, soaps, and shampoos.

What to do with those little yellow bags from LUSH? Turn them in to plant starter pots! Note: I don’t recommend using bags that have a lot of residue in them. I used bags that held soap bars, shampoo bars, massage bars, etc. Bubbleroons and bath melts seem to leave too much soap behind.

Instructions

Save up Lush bags, or any papers that use safe dyes (most ads do NOT use safe dye)

Cut up paper into strips or chunks. This goes faster if you have a paper shredder.

Toss papers into a blender, turn on and add water as needed to blend. DO NOT add too much water; less is better.

Squeeze out extra water from paper pulp goop.

Press pulp into muffin tin, going up around the sides; I used silicone since it allows things to spring free better, but any kind of tin will do.

Allow to dry overnight (you can also “bake” on a low setting like 250 for an hour or so and then let dry overnight).

Pop your seed sprouter cups free from mold, add dirt, and plant some seeds!

So, I didn’t want to use the entire thing as it is huge but I got impatient and wasn’t going to bother cutting it. So in the entire thing went. So far, it smells so good.

There’s something so unwholesome about cutting up a ballistic, IMO.

Would you visit the Louvre and look at the Mona Lisa with only one eye open? No you wouldn’t, so to anyone out there who’s guilty; next time you reach for that knife, bicarb ball in hand, stop yourself. Life’s too short to try and divide experiences up into multiples. Just live a little and chuck it in the water in it’s entirety.

^ THIS. I see/hear so many people complaining about bath bomb prices so they “split” or cut the bomb into “several uses!”

This is just dumb. First off, cutting or breaking up a bomb makes a mess, and you end up wasting like 1/4 of the bomb doing that. Money = down drain.

Secondly, if you’re using a LUSH bath bomb, you have to remember THEY ARE THE ORIGINALS. Lush INVENTED the bath bomb. You think they don’t know what SIZE to make them? Cutting it up is improper use.

Third, to me it’s more like putting a tube of deodorant CLOSE to your armpit, but not actually using it. You’re putting the scent near your arm, good enough right? NO. In order to get all the essential oils, bath softening, and yummy smells, you have to use a WHOLE BATH BOMB.

If this is all too complicated/expensive for you, then please don’t use LUSH bath bombs. Wal-Mart makes like $1 bath fizzies that are not nearly as big (or good, or ethical, etc etc).

My preccccccciiiiiooooous. Tried this for the first time a few days ago after Julia sent me a bottle for my birthday, and now it’s one of my favorite Lush scents. Mouth watering, hitting unique notes on the nose on occasion and extremely luxurious.

Although I will admit, it kind of saddens me that unique scents like these are buried away behind retro whilst some lacklustre regulars currently line shelves in stores.

This is one of my faves, along with 13 Rabbits. I sorta miss Tramp too. Hey Coggles has a point, why are some “EH” gels still out there and some gems are in retro/DC?
